Outside, the new space rising above the conventional beach cottage gives only a tantalizing glimpse of the new life, which has been flipped into the frame of the old. While the original 40's exterior was left generally in tact, the inside is entirely transformed by innovative contemporary spaces and materials.
Roof access and cuts made in the envelope allow for framed views, as well as, natural light and ventilation into the full depth of the plan.
